Janice Kay Grivetti, 81, of Ladd passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 1, 2024.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Monday at Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Spring Valley with Rev. Ronald Margherio OSB officiating. Cremation will follow services with burial at a later date. Visitation will in Nativity of Our Lord Parish on Sunday from 4-7:00 PM and additional visitation on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of services. The Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd is assisting her family with the arrangements.
Jan was born in Spring Valley on March 5, 1942 to Steve and Kate (Fanti) Pratico. She graduated Ladd Grade School and Hall High School in 1960. She married Mike Grivetti in 1963, and they had 3 children, Michael, Amy, and Tricia. She worked at Gene Ballarine Garage, American Nickeloid, and Torri’s. She was co-owner of Ladd Tastee Treat and drove a bus for Ladd Bus Company for 10 years.
She was member of St. Benedict’s Parish and Ladd Grade School Foundation. She taught CCD for many years and served as officer of the Altar and Rosary Society. Jan volunteered at Hall Township Food Pantry and volunteered to make ravioli for Nativity of Our Lord, where she was a parishioner.
Jan loved being with her family. She loved cooking and hosting big parties.
Jan is survived by her husband Mike; her children Michael Grivetti, Amy (Kevin) Pikul, Tricia Delaby; grandchildren Emily (Jose Rios) Grivetti, Alexis (Matt Orlandi) Grivetti, Jessica Grivetti, Louie & Gianna Delaby, and Brock Pikul; great grandchildren Dominic & Luca Rios, and Everleigh Orlandi; and two brothers Jim (Debbie) Pratico and Steve (Linda) Pratico.
Jan was preceded in death by parents and son-in-law Rob Delaby.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hall Township Food Pantry.
