James “Jimmy” Dale

James “Jimmy” Dale, 64, of Wenona, died August 18, 2023 in OSF St. James Medical Center in Pontiac.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be 5:00 PM till closing on Saturday October 21, 2023 in the Wenona American Legion. The Hurst Funeral Home in Wenona is entrusted with his arrangements.

Jimmy was born in Metropolis on November 8, 1958 to James and Virginia (Ledbetter) Dale. He married Karin Kell on September 7, 1989.  He worked for General Motors in Willow Springs and then Phoenix Paper Products in Lostant.  He and his wife Karin owned and operated Retro Phun Plex in Wenona.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Karin; one daughter Brandy Dale-Buchanan of Dana; two brothers, Evan (Mary Kay) Dale of Minden, NV and Michael Herrmann of Morris.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Eddie Blanton.
