James E. Kinsolving

James E. Kinsolving, 78, of Rutland, passed away April 14, 2026 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

Cremation rites have been accorded and burial will be at a later date in Reilly Cemetery in Wenona.  The Hurst Funeral Home in Wenona is entrusted with Jim’s arrangements.

Mr. Kinsolving was born in Streator on May 20, 1947 to Charles G. and Helen T. (Majercin) Kinsolving.  He married Corine Brewer. He worked for Caterpillar in Mossville for 30 years.

Jim enjoyed yardwork, woodworking, playing and teaching his daughter Teresa and granddaughter Kendra the guitar.

He was proud that he built his own home in Rutland with the help of his father and his brothers.

James is survived by three children, Teresa (Jim Thomas) Kinsolving of Rutland, Byron (Jayne) Kinsolving of Rutland, and Angela Serna of Rutland; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Daniel (Alicia) Kinsolving and John Kinsolving; nieces; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Corine, one son, James C. Kinsolving and one brother, Charles Kinsolving.
