Jacqueline “Jackie” Iwanicki, 85, of Oglesby, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on June 1, 2023.
Memorial services for Jackie and her husband Daniel Iwanicki who died on May 27, 2022 will be 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Jared Cochran, pastor of First Baptist Church in La Salle officiating. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation for both will be Tuesday from 9:30 AM until time of services.
Jackie was born in Chicago on February 20, 1938 to Robert and Ethel (McDonald) Rozhon. She married Daniel P. Iwanicki on June 23, 1962. She did clerical work at Illinois Valley Community College, Dupont Chemical, General Dynamics and P & D Sign.
Jackie was a devoted Christian and loved to read her bible. She enjoyed baking, gardening, canning and traveling. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by four sons, Michael (Denise) Iwanicki of Batavia, Tim Iwanicki of Oglesby, Patrick Iwanicki of Peru and Doug (Sheri) Iwanicki of Springfield; four grandchildren, Loren Iwanicki, Cydnee “CJ” (Brian) Rudelich, Madi Iwanicki and Gabe Iwanicki; one great-grandchild on the way; one sister Bonnie Zeph of San Antonio, TX and many nieces and nephews.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Daniel, one son Daniel “Grady” Iwanicki and her twin sister Judy Dalrymple.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Daniel “Grady” Iwanicki Scholarship Fund @Illinois Valley Credit Union.
