Jacob B. Crouch

Jacob B. Crouch, 46, of La Salle, passed away unexpectedly on February 9, 2025 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Peru.

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Sunday, February 16, at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Mark Harder, pastor of First Congregational Church in Peru, officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home Sunday from 4:00 PM until time of services. Cremation will follow funeral services.

Jacob was born in Peru on October 12, 1978 to James “Cooter” and Amy (Oberholz) Crouch. He served with the United States Army stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He married Paula Thomas on September 12, 2014. He was a machine operator at Unityte in Peru.

Jacob enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, hiking, canoeing, and just being outdoors. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Jacob is survived by his wife Paula of La Salle; his parents Jim and Amy Crouch of La Salle; five children Destiny (Jason) Reviglio of La Salle, Cassandra Sylvester of Mendota, Lauren Sylvester of Ottawa, Trinaty Thomas of DePue, and Cody Crouch of Peru; six grandchildren Avalina, Rylie, Antonio, Malakai, Mazikeen, and Kieran; one brother James Crouch of La Salle; one sister Danni (Jason) McCauley of La Salle; one niece Ella McCauley; aunts; and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, one uncle Chuck Olson, two aunts Clara Doll and Cammie Dauck.
