Jack L. Holloway, 70, of Dalzell, passed away at home surrounded by family on October 26, 2022 after an extended illness.
A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM Sunday at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of services in the funeral home. A private burial will be at a later date at Peru City Cemetery.
Jack was born in Fairfield on August 26, 1952 to Donald and Shirley (Withrow) Holloway. He married Lynn Kudela on February 14, 1980. He retired from American Nickeloid after 32 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
Jack was a retired member of Dalzell Gun Club where he enjoyed taking his dog, Bella, for walks. He also enjoyed taking walks with his grandkids to Spring Creek.
Jack is survived by his wife Lynn of Dalzell; two daughters Shantel Soldati of Ladd and Jackie (Adam) Uhl of Danville; one son Matt (Jen Nowacki) Holloway of Troy Grove; five grandchildren Morgan and Madison Soldati, Mason, Landon and Jack Ajster; one great grandson Beckham Barroso; two brothers Larry Holloway of Marseilles and Dale (Barb) Holloway of Peru; and one sister Pam (John) Gray of Sheffield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles, and a nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue.
