Helen C. Liebhart

Helen C. Liebhart, 85, of La Salle, passed away on December 11, 2021 in Manor Court of Peru.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Friday at St. Valentine's Church in Peru. Burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery in La Salle. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7:00 PM at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle. Additional visitation will be in the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Miss Liebhart was born in La Salle on February 15, 1936 to August and Anna (Stuppy) Liebhart. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic School, La Salle-Peru Township High School, and then attended nursing school in Aurora. Miss Liebhart worked as a nurse at St. Mary's Hospital and retired from working with oral surgeons, Dr. Jasiek and Dr. Lavieri.

Miss Liebhart loved dogs, especially her dog Dolly. She enjoyed working in the yard. She had much love for all her nieces and nephews.

Miss Liebhart is survived by two sisters Gita Smith of Peru and Mary Jesiolowski of La Salle; two sisters-in-law Madeline Liebhart of Oglesby and Myra Liebhart of Peru; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Claude, August, Ramon, Richard, Andrew, and William Liebhart; and two sisters Katherine and Audrey Liebhart.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue.
