Harry H. Kreiser, 82, of Tonica, passed away May 5, 2022 at OSF St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Rockford.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday May 7 at Fairview Cemetery in Tonica with Rev. Deepak Holkar, pastor of Tonica United Methodist Church, officiating. The Hurst Funeral Home in Tonica is assisting the family with Harry’s arrangements.
Mr. Kreiser was born in Mendota on May 13, 1939 to Roy and Margaret (Arndt) Kreiser. He married Leona Cave in Streator on June 24, 1961. Mr. Kreiser was a truck driver for Wiesbrock Trucking for 44 ½ years before retiring. He enjoyed raising pigs, chickens, and cows. He was also fond of gardening and canning. He loved spending time with his family. The joys of his life were being a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Mr. Kreiser is survived by his three children Ron (Jessica) Kreiser of Minonk, Connie (Scott) Lauer of Tonica, and Randy Kreiser of Streator; seven grandchildren Amy (Jared) Bell, Robert (Morgan) Kreiser, Sarah (Josh) Angelos, Austin (Sara) Stremlau, Stephen (Katie) Lauer, Cory (Summer) Lauer-Studstill, and Abbey Lauer; six great grandchildren Maddux, Eli, Parker, Cora, Lea, and Madeline; one great grandchild on the way, Liam; and three brothers Mike (Grace) Kreiser of North Carolina, Jerry (Pam) Kreiser of Lostant, and LaVerne (Marcia) Kreiser of Tonica.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leona; five brothers Walter, Harold, Richard, Edwin, and Daniel Kreiser; and five sisters Linda Decker, Martha Samolitis, Laura Trumpinski, Dorothy Munson, and Neva Kreiser.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
