Gloria Aguirre

Gloria Aguirre, 77, of La Salle passed away peacefully at home on June 28, 2026.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 1, at St. Hyacinth's Church in La Salle with the Very Rev. Thomas Otto officiating. Burial will be at Ladd Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of services. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle has been entrusted with her arrangements.

Gloria was born in Mexico on November 11, 1948 to Antioco Diaz and Jacabo Guzman. 

She is survived by her children, Guadalupe, Joel, Martha, Lorena, Angelica, Gabriela, and Mayra; nineteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three siblings, Jose, Maria, and Victoria; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin on October 8, 2021; her parents; a son and daughter in infancy; four siblings, Sacramento, Seferino, Agustin, and Lorenzo; and a nephew, Rogelio.

Gloria Aguirre, de 77 años, de La Salle, falleció pacíficamente en su hogar el 28 de junio de 2026.

La misa de funeral cristiano será a las 11:00 a.m. del miércoles 1 de julio en la Iglesia de San Jacinto en La Salle, con el Reverendo Thomas Otto oficiando. El entierro será en el Cementerio Ladd. La visita será en la iglesia el miércoles, de 10:00 a.m. hasta la hora del servicio. La Funeraria Hurst en La Salle se ha encargado de los arreglos.

Gloria nació en México el 11 de noviembre de 1948, hija de Antioco Díaz y Jacabo Guzmán. 

La sobreviven sus hijos Guadalupe, Joel, Martha, Lorena, Angélica, Gabriela y Mayra; diecinueve nietos; varios bisnietos; tres hermanos, José, María y Victoria; y varios sobrinos y sobrinas. 

Le precedió en la muerte su esposo, Benjamin, el 8 de octubre de 2021; sus padres; un hijo y una hija en la infancia; cuatro hermanos, Sacramento, Seferino, Agustín y Lorenzo; y un sobrino, Rogelio.
