Gary R. Riley

Gary Riley, 59, of Chicago, formerly of Streator, passed away in Chicago on September 27, 2022.

Funeral services will be 12:30 PM Saturday at the Hurst Funeral Home in Wenona. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wenona. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of services. Following the burial, a funeral luncheon will be in the hall of the Wenona American Legion.

Gary was born on July 20, 1963 to Irvin and Maynel (Hausler) Riley. Gary was a loving husband to Ana Ledezma and a caring stepfather to Ricardo, Cristal, Alejandro, and Selena.

He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews; going to Starved Rock; and fishing. He was an avid sports enthusiast who loved to watch his Chicago sports teams throughout the year.

Gary is survived by Mark and Jean Riley, Pat Riley, Doris Cox, and Sue Riley Hisson. He is survived by his grandchildren Ava, Xitlali, Mia, Xavier and Itati. He is also survived by Michael and Maggie Riley and their children, John and Paula Riley, Deanna Cox, Jackie Hisson Baker, Trish Klatt, Kathi Engels, Kelly Riley Lindsay, Missy Riley Ramon, and Rebecca McDonough.
