Frank A. Noble Jr., 74, of La Salle, formerly of Mendota, passed away in his home at 9:52 AM on February 6, 2021;
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be at a later date. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is entrusted with his services.
Frank was born on February 12, 1946 in Mendota to Frank A. and Florence (Kratz) Nobel Sr. He served with the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Vickie Lee Robinson on June 8, 1974.
He went to school in Mendota and graduated from Hazelwood High School. He retired from Burns Security at La Salle Nuclear Plant.
Frank was known for his humor and good heart. He was a laid back guy who enjoyed fishing with his family and playing cards.
He would have given you the shirt off his back and cracked jokes about it all the time. He meant so much to so many.
Frank is survived by one brother Bill (Joan) Knauer of Yorkville; sons Wesley Noble of Bull Shoals, AR and Michael (Susan) Ecklund of Fitchburg, MA ; three daughters, Valerie Noble of Streator, Melissa Noble of La Salle and Dawn Noble of La Salle; four grandsons, Nathen Miller of Streator, Michael Hampton Jr of La Salle, Kameron Hampton of La Salle, and Brandon Edklund; two granddaughters Brionna Noble of La Salle and Sydney Ecklund; and one great-granddaughter Harmonee Hampton; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and two four legged babies Frankie and Milo.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife Vickie on January 13, 2001, both parents, grandparents, one brother Keith Noble and one sister Alana “Sue” Biehl.
