Evalyne L. Marshall, 90, of Tonica, passed away at Manor Court of Peru on June 5, 2026.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 11, at Tonica United Methodist Church with Rev. Phil Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Tonica. Visitation will be in the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of services. The Hurst Funeral Home in Tonica is entrusted with funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Marshall was born in Stonington, IL on January 21, 1936 to Glenn and Maude (Gibson) Franklin. She married Robert M. Marshall on April 6, 1957. She worked at the school in Tonica in the cafeteria and later was a homemaker.
She was a member of Tonica United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School. Evalyne enjoyed golfing, reading, baking, crochet, playing bridge and shopping. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by one daughter Carol Gilmore of Toluca; one son Tom (Jayne) Marshall of Mason City; four grandchildren, Layne (Jeremiah) Jones, Taryn (Jason) List, Grayce (Chelsea) Gazia and Logan Marshall; four great-grandchildren, Maisy, Willow, Leo and Tayden; one brother Richard Franklin of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Marshall on February 3, 2024, her parents, three brothers, Glenn, Melvin and Ronald Franklin; two sisters, Ruby Burns and Nancy Patterson.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Nichols, Alan Stremlau, Richard Gerry, Mike Naas, Mike Franklin, and James Santos.
Memorials may be directed to the Tonica Fire and Ambulance Department.
