Ethel M. (Ambrose) Zarobila

Ethel M. Zarobila, 90, of La Salle, died February 8, 2022.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at The Queen of Holy Rosary Shrine in La Salle with the Rev. J.A. Small officiating. Burial will follow in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of services. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is entrusted with Ethel’s funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Zarobila was born in Bridgeport, CT on October 4, 1931, to Steven and Elizabeth (Faluchao) Ambrose. Ethel was the youngest of seven children. She grew up in a loving, hardworking family. She married Albert on October 13, 1951. Ethel will be remembered for her love of children and dancing and skills of cooking, baking, and sewing.

Mrs. Zarobila is survived by four daughters: Lorraine (Gary) Boggio of Hennepin, Diane (Chuck) Alleman of La Salle, Lynn (Phil) Griffo of Port Orange, FL, and Lisa (Michael) Templeton of Lostant, thirteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, sisters; Helen (Albert) Lempner and Elizabeth Karl, brothers; Steven (Ann), John, Joseph, and Ernie (Julia Ann).

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
