Estefania Alvarado Nieves

Estefania Alvarado Nieves, 33, of Spring Valley, passed away, surrounded by her family on August 1, 2024, at the National Institute of Health, Bethesda, MD., after an extended illness.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday August 10, 2024, in St. Hyacinth’s Church in La Salle with The Very Rev. Thomas Otto officiating.  Burial will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle.  Visitation will be 5:30 PM Friday until time of Mass on Saturday in St. Hyacinth’s Church.  The Hurst Funeral Home is entrusted with her services.

Estefania was born January 24, 1991, in Tlalnepantla de Baz, Mexico City to Cristobal Gonzales Jr. and Gabriela Nieves Barrios.  She graduated from Mendota High School in 2009.

She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family.

Estefania is survived by her parents of Spring Valley; one brother Erik Alvarado Nieves of Oak Lawn; one niece Jamilyn Alvarado; maternal grandmother Augustina Barrios and paternal grandparents; Juana Zepeda and Erberto Alvarado, all of Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather.
