Elizabeth J. “Betty” Weeks, 84, of La Salle passed away January 10, 2020 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Weeks was born in La Salle on December 6, 1935 to Paul and Elizabeth (Strohm) Pyszka. She attended La Salle-Peru Township High School. In 1991, Mrs. Weeks moved to California where she worked as a home healthcare provider. Betty then retired to Apache Junction, AZ to live with her sister. She returned to the Illinois Valley 2016.
Mrs. Weeks enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She loved being with friends and family. No matter where she was, she never met a stranger and was never the type to sit around.
Mrs. Weeks is survived by her sons Reed Allen Weeks of OR and Donald Weeks of La Salle; grandchildren Phillips Weeks of CA, Nathan Chapman of WI, and Alex Weeks of OR; twin great grandsons; sisters Pat Byers of AZ and Judy (Don) Moriarty of Granville; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
