Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Flaherty

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Flaherty of Ladd, who passed away on June 25, 2021 at age 67.

Services and burial will occur at Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley on July 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Bill Jacobsen, Pastor of Seatonville Community Church. The Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Beth was born on December 28, 1953, graduated from Hall High School and worked at Badge-A-Minit and Home Depot.  She was a lifelong resident of Ladd and was involved in the town’s history, including her work as editor of the Ladd Centennial Book in 1990.  She served as the Flaherty family historian, enjoyed crafting, helping others, and keeping up with her friends and family on the phone.

Beth is survived by a niece Tracy Flaherty of Oviedo, FL, great-nephews Craig (Gerenne) Skerston of Winter Park, FL, Curtis (Hallie) Skerston of Red Wing, MN, and Kiefer (Ashley) Skerston of Melbourne, FL: great-niece Elizabeth Martin of Oviedo, FL, her treasured little ones: Gabriel, Brayden, Kora, and Jasper Skerston: as well as many cousins, and special friends Gary, Lynn, and Diane.  Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Dorothy Flaherty, and her brother Daniel Flaherty.  

The family thanks those neighbors in Ladd who aided Beth in her final years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to either the Hall Township Food Pantry or Horizon House of Peru.
