Edith M. (Stank) Ryan

  
Edith M. Ryan 97 of LaSalle died July 2, 2018 in Manor Court of Peru.  
Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Friday in St. Patrick’s Church in LaSalle with Rev Gregory Jarzombek OSB officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in LaSalle. Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of services.  The Hurst Funeral Home in LaSalle is in charge of arrangements. 
Mrs. Ryan was born in Spring Valley on January 31, 1921 to Charles and Mary (Bucevich) Stank.  Mrs. Ryan married William “Beau” Ryan. She worked in the fuse department at Westclox for many years.  She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of Deer Park Country Club. Mrs. Ryan loved to go out with her girlfriends, golfing in the morning, and playing cards in the afternoon.  She enjoyed needlework, home decorating, and was an avid reader.  Her amazing smile will be greatly missed at the nursing home.  
She is survived by one daughter Bernadette “Bernie” Ryan of LaSalle, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Beau in 1996, one son Michael Ryan in 1966, and one brother Roy Stank.
