Earlene Alice H. Wood

Earlene Alice H. Wood, 83, of Peoria, formerly of Mendota, passed away October 25, 2022 in Independence Village in Peoria.

Private graveside services will be in Restland Cemetery in Mendota. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting her family.

Mrs. Wood was born in Mendota on April 2, 1939.  She married Stephen Wood on September 9, 2008.  She graduated in 1956 from Mendota High School.

Mrs. Wood is survived by three sisters, LoreJean (Ray) Chaon of Mendota, Shirley (Bruce) Miller of LaMoille and Mary Lou (Bill) Henry of West Brooklyn; two sons, David (Debra) Hof of La Salle and Timothy (Carole) Hof of Cookeville, TN; two grandchildren, Jared and Rachel Hof and a great-granddaughter Adeline Hof; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents Blanche Klinefelter and Earl Klinefelter, and Charles and Katie Klinefelter.

Memorials may be directed to Elk’s Children Hospital, Mooseheart or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
