Douglas E. Smith III

Douglas Edward Smith III, 19 month old, passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Paul Darveau officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in La Salle. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of services.

Douglas was born in Spring Valley on May 19, 2021 to Kristin and Douglas E. Smith Jr.

Douglas is survived by his parents Douglas and Kristin of La Salle; little sister, Haylo, on the way; maternal grandparents LeeAnn Entwistle and W.L. Freels of Oglesby and Melissa (Ron) Blum of Mendota; paternal grandparents Jennifer McCormick of Streator and Douglas E. (Amanda) Smith Sr. of Ottawa; four aunts Anna (David Chavarria) Entwistle, Jacklynn (Jacob) Garver, Deana (Mark Altamore) Smith, and Ashley Smith; uncle Joshua Smith; and cousins Michael Chavarria and Kylenn Jackson.
