Doris L. (Lundgren) Schultz

Doris L. Schultz, 97, of Cherry died March 15, 2019 in Manor Court of Peru.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Hurst Funeral Home in LaSalle with Rev Karen Karczewski, Pastor of the Cherry United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Mrs. Schultz was born in Arlington on January 8, 1922 to Alvin and Margaret (Anderson) Lundgren. She married Edward Nickel on November 28, 1942 and he died November 14, 1992. She then married Garney Schultz on March 25, 1997 and he died March 19, 2017. Mrs. Schultz was very active in her church. She enjoyed gardening, baking, water coloring, and crafts.

She is survived by three children; Lynne (Bill) Sims of Oklahoma, Keith (Kathy) Nickel of Texas, and Mark (Jill) Nickel of Peru; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; one brother Donald Lundgren of LaSalle.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, one sister Bonnie Manahan and one brother Kenny Lundgren.
