Doris M. Hodge

Doris M. Hodge, 85, of Morton, passed away May 17, 2023 in Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday in Fairview Cemetery in Tonica with Rev. Phil Jackson, pastor of Tonica United Methodist Church officiating.  The Hurst Funeral Home in Tonica is entrusted with Mrs. Hodge’s funeral services.

Doris was born in Peru on March 12, 1938 to Albert and Eva (Frederick) Braun.  She was the Medical Director at the Medical Lab in La Salle until retiring in 2006.

She enjoyed traveling, gardening and playing cards. She loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.

Doris is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (Steven) Turner of Evansville, IN and Jeannette (Robert) Anderson of Morton; three granddaughters, Amanda (Ryan) Kaiser of Springfield, Amelia (Colin) Dale of Lebanon, IN and Caitlin Anderson of Springfield; four great-grandchildren, Teague Kaiser, Landon Kaiser, Addison Kaiser and Lillian Dale.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Louis Braun.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
