Doris Ann Stachowiak, 90, of Peru, died January 26, 2021 at Manor Court of Princeton.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be at a later date in Peru City Cemetery. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is entrusted with her services.
Doris was born in Peru on April 14, 1930 to Lester Fredrick and Elsie Louise (Keutzer) Maurer. She married Raymond W. Stachowiak on July 17, 1948. She worked at the News Tribune, St. Joseph’s School in Peru and Illinois Valley Community Hospital.
Doris is survived by nine children, twenty- one grandchildren and twenty- seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ray on April 15, 2003, two sisters and one brother.
