Donald E. Stehl

Donald E. Stehl, 92, of La Salle passed on December 5, 2022 at Heritage Health in Peru.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Trinity United Church of Christ in La Salle with Pastor Betty Delgado officiating. Burial will be in Granville Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until time of services. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Stehl was born in La Salle on August 26, 1930 to Edward and Louise (Karlosky) Stehl. He married Evelyn Thone on May 25, 1957. Mr. Stehl worked at Westclox, American Hoechst in Ottawa, and retired as a custodian from Open Court Publishing. Don enjoyed fishing, traveling, and going to the casino. He loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Stehl is survived by his daughter Lori (Kevin) Seghi of Peru; two grandsons Brian (Caitlin) Seghi of Peru and Scott (Sara) Seghi of Manlius; and seven great grandchildren: Lainey, Gianna, Carter, Skylar, Sophia, Sawyer, and Stehla.

He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn on June 10, 1995 and one brother Roger Stehl.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity United Church of Christ in La Salle.
