Donald A. Reh, 76, of Wenona, passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife by his side on September 4, 2021 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria.
Graveside services will be Saturday September 18 at 2:00 PM at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wenona with Rev. Gregory Jarzombek OSB officiating. Casual attire would be acceptable. The Hurst Funeral Home in Wenona is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Reh was born in Chicago on June 26, 1945 to Harold and Dorothy (Simon) Reh. He was a 1963 graduate of Wenona High School. He married Patricia Nadler on August 16, 1969 in St. Mary’s Church in Wenona. In 1969, he started working maintenance for the State of Illinois Department of Transportation and later in the office until September 30, 2001.
Mr. Reh and his wife Patricia enjoyed traveling in the west, taking in the scenery and learning the history. He also enjoyed listening to country music and early rock n’ roll.
Mr. Reh is survived by his wife Patricia of Wenona, his furry sidekick Abby, one brother Larry Reh of Alameda, CA, and two nieces Amanda and Ashley, three great nieces Olivia, Elaina, and Hannah, great nephew Hayden, and sister-in-law Jane Nadler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Sue Notter, and brother-in-law Art Nadler.
Memorials may be directed to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude’s.
