Donald R. Grieve

Donald Robertson Grieve, 80, of Tonica, formerly of Pierson, IA, passed away October 19, 2022 at the La Salle County Nursing Home in Ottawa.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 29 at the Hurst Funeral Home in Tonica with Rev. Phil Jackson, Pastor of Tonica United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation will be 10:30 AM until time of services. Burial will be at Kingsley Cemetery in Kingsley, IA at a later date.

Mr. Grieve was born in Kingsley, IA on July 15, 1942 to Malcolm H. and Ruth (Maxwell) Grieve. Don served with the Iowa Army National Guard Reserves. He was a farmer his entire working life. He loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, and gardening.

Mr. Grieve is survived by one sister Madeleine Grieve of Wheaton and one brother Douglas (Marianne) Grieve of Tonica; cousin Phyllis Weber; niece and nephews Lewis Donald, Thomas, Jason, Nicole, and Kevin; and great nieces and nephews Austin, Cayla, Mikkel, and November.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
