Dianne L. Phelps

Dianne Louise Phelps, 85, of Peru, passed away at home on January 5, 2023.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday January 10, 2023 in the Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Pica officiating.  Burial will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery in La Salle.  Visitation will be in the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Dianne was born in La Salle on December 7, 1937 to Stanley and Agnes (Nadolny) Milaicki.  She had many jobs.  She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital, Westclox, Illinois Bell, Carr’s Department Store in Peru, Owens in Streator and retired from K-Mart.

Dianne was a 1955 graduate of L-P High School. She enjoyed ceramics, gardening, adult coloring and just spending time with her family.  She lived for her cats.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy (Andrew) Dergance of Peru; three grandchildren, Andy and Cory Dergance and Jason Darnell; three great-grandchildren, Haley, Austin Dergance and Parker Darnell; one sister Gloria (Don) Yurko of Streator.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Jerry Milaicki.

Pallbearers will be Andy, Austin and Cory Dergance, Jason Darnell, Roy Bergeron and Joe Urbanc.
