Denett M. Bartlett

Denett M. Bartlett, 59, of Standard, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2020, surrounded by her children and her partner, after a battle for the ages. 

Cremation rights have been accorded and the celebration of her life will be held at a later date. The Hurst Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling the arrangements. 

Denett was born in Ottawa, IL on July 12, 1961, to Joyce and Alan Milus, into a growing, loving tribe. Her siblings were some of her biggest joys in life as she was the 5th of 9 children. She found her calling caring for others and fulfilled her dream of becoming a nurse. She never missed a Packer game or passed by an opportunity to try her hand at the poker machines. She dazzled in the kitchen and was happiest when those she loved were around her eating her unforgettable food. Her two grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy. Her favorite saying was, “We may not have much, but we have each other.”

She is survived by her two children; Gina Bartlett of Mark, and Brett Bartlett of Standard, two grandchildren; Ella and Ethan, life partner; Jim Perra, brothers; Dean Milus of Spring Valley, Dani Milus of Peru, Dennis (Dennis) Milus of Denver, CO, Dave (Lori) Milus of Peru, sisters; Denise Milus of LaSalle, Debbie Milus of Peru, Jolene (Tim) Plankenhorn of Peru, Amy (Mark) Fields of Peoria, aunt; Carol Shaver, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father; Joyce and Joe Myers, father; Alan Milus, and uncle; Richard Shaver.
