Deloris A. Daley

Deloris A. Daley, 90, of Oglesby, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2022 at St. Margaret’s Health in Spring Valley.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Friday at St. Hyacinth’s Church in La Salle with the very Rev. Thomas Otto, pastor of La Salle Catholic Parishes, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in La Salle. Visitation will be 9:00 – 10:45 AM Friday at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle.

Mrs. Daley was born in La Salle on September 15, 1931 to Joseph and Angeline (Turczyn) Samolinski. She married Thomas F. Daley in October of 1952.

Mrs. Daley helped with bookkeeping at Personality Frock Shop in Oglesby. She was a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society at Holy Family in Oglesby. She enjoyed fishing and flower gardening. She was a great cook.

Mrs. Daley is survived by her children Kevin (Rebecca) Daley of La Salle and Susan (Michael) Suarez of Peru; five grandchildren Kristen (James) Roush, Douglas (Breanne) Suarez, Dana (Chris Kummer) Daley, Michael (Kayla Crowther) Daley, and Ryan Daley; seven great grandchildren Greyson and Lane Suarez, Cooper and Neve Roush, Patrick and Jameson Daley, and Aurora Kummer; three brothers Ronald (Linda) Samolinski of La Salle, Kenneth Samolinski of La Salle, and Gregory (Cheryl) Samolinski of Dalzell; one sister Geraldine Frank of NC; nieces; and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas in 1993; one son Danil Daley in 2007; three brothers Thomas, Robert, and Leonard Samolinski; and grandson Timothy Daley in 1989.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Suarez, Ryan Daley, Michael Daley, Scott Samolinski, Jeff Samolinski, Jason Samolinski, Steve Samolinski, and Dr. Paul Perona.
