Delbert C. Baker

Delbert C. Baker, 66, of LaSalle, passed away peacefully in the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa on August 22, 2019.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Hurst Funeral Home in LaSalle with Pastor Jon Wenger officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 10:00 AM Tuesday until time of services in the funeral home. A celebration of life will be in the Heritage Christian Center Church in Ottawa from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday.

Delbert was born in LaSalle on November 14, 1952 to George William and Margaret (Edgecomb) Baker. He was self-employed at Del Baker Construction. He enjoyed working. Delbert was a member of the Heritage Christian Center Church in Ottawa.

Delbert is survived by two sons; Joshua Baker of Tiskilwa and David (Kandi) Baker of Wyanet, his mother Margaret Baker of Peru, three grandchildren; Briinuh, Jace, and Dante, and several brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his father.
