Dawn (Stein) Ajster

Dawn (Stein) Ajster, 61, of North Glenn, CO, formerly of La Salle passed away on June 19, 2021.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 28th, from 4-6 PM in the Hurst Funeral Home in LaSalle. 

Dawn was born in La Salle on June 3, 1960 to Bruce and Faye (Duffell) Stein. She married Rick Ajster in October 1979. She worked for many years at RJG Communications as a warehouse manager. She also spent many years working as a home health provider. In 1997, Dawn and her partner KC (Karla) Strickland moved to North Glenn, Colorado along with daughters, Nicole and Erin.

Dawn enjoyed playing professional pool and played for many local leagues. She loved spending time in her garden with her beautiful flowers. She also loved going to concerts and the mountains of Colorado.

Dawn was an outstanding cook who enjoyed cooking for her many friends. She also enjoyed making her grandmother’s pie recipes. Dawn was well known in the LP area for her famous “Bell” tacos.

She recently joined a crafting club and spent many hours making crafts that she shared with her family and friends.

Dawn’s greatest passion was spending time with her granddaughter Khloe Faye along with grandma “Omie” KC.

Dawn is survived by her partner KC (Karla) Strictland of North Glenn, CO, daughters Nicole (Isaac Valadez) Ajster of Commerce City, CO and Erin Corrigan of Denver Metro, CO, her sister Jodi Zborowski of Peru, and granddaughter Khloe Faye Schraff.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rick, brother Bruce Stein, and brother-in-law James Zborowski.
