David M. Moore

David M. Moore, 39, of La Salle, died unexpectedly at home on July 10, 2025 due to a heart condition.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 26, at St. Patrick’s Church in La Salle with Rev. J.A. Small officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of services.  The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is entrusted with Dave’s funeral arrangements.

Dave was born in Peru on March 10, 1986 to Vincent R. and Mary (Fouke) Moore.  He worked as local locksmith.  He enjoyed working with his hands, especially woodworking and anything mechanical.  He was a jack of all trades. He loved spending time with his family, especially his kids and grandchildren.

Dave is survived by his children, Jarek, Ethan and Tia; two grandchildren, Malani and Luca; his mother, Mary (Mike) Szwiec; one sister, April (Eric) Barnhart; one aunt, Peggy (Kelly) McMillan; one uncle, Richard (Lisa) Moore; and cousins, great uncles and great aunts.

He was preceded in death by his father Vincent, his grandmother, Barbara Hrovat and an uncle, Brian L. Moore.
