David Haskins Obituary

David E. Haskins, 73, of La Salle passed away at home on September 19, 2021 after a three-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be private in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dave was born August 14, 1948 in La Salle to Dr. William and Helen (Duncan) Haskins.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Haskins; sons David Haskins Jr. and Aaron Haskins; stepchildren Jeri Lynn (Steve) Summers, Chad Zeman, and Jason (Deanna) Zeman; grandchildren McKenzie Allen, Logan Zeman, Kelton Zeman, Adrianna Zeman, Quenton Zeman, Italy Summers, and Colin Summers; and sisters Karen Brucks and Mary (Darvin) Planeaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bill Haskins, and his sister Ann Kelly.

Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
