Darlene Theresa Knafelc

Darlene Theresa Knafelc, 92, passed away January 6, 2024 at JPO Retirement Home in Dalzell. 

Cremation rites have been accorded and a burial will be at a later date. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle has been entrusted with her arrangements.

Darlene was born to Theresa (Spelich) Knafelc and Anton Knafelc, February 7th, 1931. 

Darlene worked several jobs, but her favorite was 18 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in LaSalle, Illinois. She was loved by the patients for whom she cared. Darlene was kind, loving and had a great sense of humor.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents Theresa and Anton and siblings Lorraine (Knafelc) Momeny, Jean (Knafelc) Ferrari, James Knafelc, Kenneth Knafelc, and George Knafelc. 

Darlene is survived by her daughter, Ellen (Knafelc) Pyle, sisters-in-law Betty (James) Knafelc, Kathy (Kenneth) Knafelc, and many nieces and nephews.
