Dan Keglovitz

Dan Keglovitz, 72, of 2213 Prospect St. in Peru, died peacefully in his home on July 3, 2019 after a brave battle with cancer with his loving wife by his side.

Per Dan’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will not be any services. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date at Paramount Club in La Salle.   The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is handling arrangements.

Dan was born in La Salle on November 14, 1946 to Michael and Marie (Witek) Keglovitz.  Marie married Frank “Ziggy” Sigmund in 1948 and he helped raise Dan.  Dan served in Vietnam with the US Army.  He married Norma Tonioni on November 14, 2003.

Dan was a laborer with Marseilles Local Union #393. He enjoyed spending time and having coffee with friends. Dan also enjoyed playing cards, gambling, and following the Baltimore Ravens football team.

Dan is survived by his wife Norma of Peru; sister, Patricia Walters of La Salle; four nieces, Susan (Frank) Dziegielewski of Arizona, Tara (Matt) Osterhout of Kansas, Calley (Craig) Merriman of Connecticut and Anita (Jarred) Amburgey of Florida; many cousins.
