Cyndee A. Walters, 65, of La Salle, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2023 in OSF St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Bloomington after 11 days under hospital care.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 PM Saturday in St. Thomas More Church in Dalzell with Rev. Gregory Jarzombek OSB officiating. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery in La Salle. Visitation will be in the church on Saturday from 12:30 PM until time of services. Following the burial, there will be fellowship in the Morgan Hall at First Congregational Church in Peru. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is entrusted with Cyndee’s services.
Cyndee was born in La Salle on November 10, 1957 to George and Adele (Fabish) Walters. She married Rob Dickson on June 26, 2007. She worked at IVCH for 39 years, Country Catering for 30 years, Walmart for 7 years, IVCC cafeteria for 4 years and Liberty Village for 5 years.
Cyndee was a loving wife and friend and kind person and did her best to make people happy. She will be forever missed.
She enjoyed cooking, spending time with friends watching all sports, listening to music and attended many concerts. She was a bowler on numerous teams over the years. She was a member of Spring Valley Jaycees and St. Thomas More Church.
Cyndee is survived by her husband Rob; brother David (Randa) Walters of La Salle; one nephew Ryan Walters, and two nieces, Tara Champlin and Dana Walters; great nephew Carter Walters and great nieces Paige and Addyson Champlin. Special friends, Larry and Debby Brown, Edie Moore, Lore Jones, Kate Keefe, Diane Folty, Sue and Bruce Hallen, Mike Sabatini, and many more.
