Cindy Jo Gallup

Cindy Jo Gallup, 55, of Oglesby, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on November 10, 2024 after a courageous battle of ALS for six years.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday in Tonica United Methodist Church with Rev. Phil Jackson officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Tonica.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7:00 PM Thursday in the church and from 10:00 AM Friday until time of services.  The Hurst Funeral Home in Tonica is entrusted with Cindy’s funeral arrangements.

Cindy was born in La Salle on March 22, 1969 to Richard “Dick” and Janice (Burgess) Kreiser.  She worked at Covia Sand Plant in Troy Grove.  She married Randy Gallup on May 25, 2013.,

Cindy enjoyed bowling, walking, taking car rides and watching movies.

She survived by her mother Janice (Phil) Duffell of Oglesby; her husband Randy of Oglesby; her dog Toby Miles; three step-children, Nickolas (Katie) Gallup of Streator, Kyle (Anna) Gallup of Seatonville and Heather (Matt) Taylor of Oglesby; several step-grandchildren; two sisters, Rhonda (Mike) Gustafson of Cedar Point and Denise (Frank) Sodac of Tonica; sister-in-law Monica Kreiser; and nieces and nephews.

Cindy is preceded in death by her father Richard, one brother Rick Kreiser and a sister Julie in infancy.
