Christopher M. Nowakowski

Christopher Michael Nowakowski, 49, of Peoria, formerly of Peru, passed away unexpectedly at home in Peoria on May 25, 2022.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private memorial service will be at a later date. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family with arrangements.

Chris was born in Peru on January 26, 1973 to Donald S. and Janice (Szczepaniak) Nowakowski. He was a CNC operator at Precision Group in La Salle. He married Amy Marie Cummings and later divorced. Chris was artistic. He was a drummer and loved music. He was an avid Tom Brady fan.

Chris is survived by his parents Donald S. and Janice Nowakowski of Peru; his fiancé Virginia McCormick of Peoria; four children Alexis (Cody) Nowakowski of Carbondale, Christopher (Leslie) James Nowakowski of Carbondale, Taylor (Owen) Elizabeth Nowakowski of Wyanet, and Michael Richard Nowakowski of Spring Valley; seven grandchildren; one brother Rev. Mark (Julie) Nowakowski of Peru; and two nephews.
