Brittany A. Steinbach, 38, passed away February 8, 2023 at Swedish American Heart Hospital in Rockford.
A Celebration of Life will be 4-7:00 PM Monday at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle and a service to be held at 7:00 PM with Rev. Paul Carlson officiating.
Brittany was born February 16, 1984 in Blue Island to Deborah A. Evans and George T. Steinbach. She graduated from Carol Stream High School in 2003. She was a very creative and artistic person who loved music, arts and crafts, and painting. She created numerous abstract paintings that she sold at local vendors, markets, or through online store she had called “Wild-Flower.” Prior to becoming a mother, she enjoyed “Big City” life, by living in Chicago and then New York. Her pride and joy was her son, Skyler. She taught him the beauty of music and art, as they spent numerous hours completing different projects. Skyler learned his love and faith for God and compassion for others, also, from his mother. Brittany will be forever in our hearts and memories.
Brittany is survived by her 8-year-old son, Skyler Steinbach of Peru; her mother Deborah A. Anderson of Green Bay, WI; her father George T. (Deanna Mallery) Steinbach of Peru; siblings Brandon Steinbach of Peru, Bridgette Steinbach of Peru, Brooke Steinbach of Milwaukee, WI, and stepbrother Matthew Lolkus of Peru; maternal grandparents Ruth and Kenneth Baggio of Carol Stream; paternal grandmother Mary Steinbach of Oak Lawn, IL; numerous aunts and uncles; her nephew Tate Steinbach; and her niece Lyric Lolkus.
She was preceded in death by her brother Bryant Steinbach, paternal grandfather Don Steinbach, and her great-grandparents Joseph and Pauline Carrero with whom she was very close.
Memorials may be directed to the family which will be placed in a trust that has been established for Brittany’s son Skyler.
