Brian J. Hewitt

Brian J. Hewitt, 53, of Arlington, passed away October 4, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Patrick's Church in Arlington with Rev. Scott Potthoff, pastor of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of services. The Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd has been entrusted with Brian's services.

Brian was born in Spring Valley on January 13, 1971 to Thomas and Jo Alyce (Smith) Hewitt. He worked at Mennie's Machine Shop in Mark. He graduated from La Moille High School. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Arlington and an Arlington Fire Department volunteer. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Whenever his parents needed him, he was there for them. He now is fishing again with his dad.

Brian is survived by his mother Jo Alyce of Arlington, one brother Mike (Thess) Hewitt of Cherry, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Pallbearers will be Eric Hewitt, Chris Campbell, Dan Blackburn, John Danner, Lee Hewitt, and Toby Smith.
