Beverly J. Jeppson

Beverly J. Jeppson, 88, of Ladd, passed away on July 18, 2022, at OSF St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Rockford.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Monday at Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Spring Valley with Rev. Ronald Margherio OSB officiating. Burial will be at Ladd Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-6:00 PM Sunday at the Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd. Additional visitation will be in the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Beverly was born in Peru on March 19, 1934, Clarence and Theresa (Guidorini) Keutzer. She grew up in Ladd with her adopted father Merville “Chick” and Theresa Hawks. She married Clarence “Honey” Jeppson on October 15, 1955. She worked as a bookkeeper at Ladd Bank and then Ladd Elevator until her retirement.

Beverly enjoyed a good home DIY project with her caulk gun and spray paint. She had a quick wit and enjoyed telling a good story. She was an avid reader and enjoyed music. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was always willing to lend a hand, even if it was simply to listen. Beverly was a member of St. Benedict’s Church in Ladd before attending other local churches. Along with her husband, Clarence, she was very active with Gateway Services in Princeton.

Beverly is survived by one son Michael Jeppson of Princeton; one daughter Michele (David) Scott of Ladd; two grandchildren Andrew Scott of Morris and Alysia (Tayler McGillis) Scott of Ladd; one great granddaughter Leah; two brothers Paul (Sheila) Hawks of IN and Mike (Amy) Keutzer of CO; and three beloved nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence on October 6, 2007, and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Scott, Tayler McGillis, Ron and Riley Raper, and Michael Lynch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Gateway Services in Princeton.
