Beverly J. Boers, 82, of Seatonville passed away peacefully December 20, 2022 at OSF St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Rockford.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Hollowayville United Church of Christ in Hollowayville with Pastor Mike Slutz officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Monday from 9:00 AM until time of services. Burial will be in Ladd Cemetery. The Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Boers was born on March 26, 1940 at home on the farm in Morgan County to Altha Beck. She married Gerald “Jerry” Boers on August 28, 1959. She was a longtime employee at Leone Grain where she worked as a secretary.
Mrs. Boers enjoyed horseback riding, camping, hiking, and sewing. She was a member of Hollowayville United Church of Christ. She was also a member of Tri-City Saddle Club, Green River Saddle Club, and IVHA Saddle Club.
Mrs. Boers is survived by three children Barb (John) Croisant of Princeton, Terri Boers of The Woodlands, TX, and Brian Boers of Wyanet; six grandchildren Josh McCune, Amanda (Dustin) Fogal, Justin Boers, Kaitlin (Jordan) Crane, Cody Boers, and Alyssa Boers; six great-grandchildren Peyton, Easton, Layton, Jane, Brinley, and Bryson; and one sister Betty Knafelc.
She was preceded in death by her mother, husband Jerry on December 20, 2013, one son Brent Boers on May 11, 2021, three brothers Keith, Eugene, and Kenneth Beck, and one granddaughter Melissa.
