Barbara Ann White

Barbara Ann White, 76, of Peru, formerly of Gibson, TN, passed away March 11, 2024 at Allure of Peru.

A Celebration of Life will be 4 to 7:00 PM Thursday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home in Humboldt, TN.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of services on Saturday.  Burial will follow in Gibson County Memorial Gardens in Humboldt, TN.

Barbara was born in Vicksburg, MS on February 7, 1948 to Charles and Agnes Pitts.  She married Donnie White Sr. in 1966. She was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years.  She enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by a son Donnie White Jr. of La Salle; four grandchildren, Ashley Hoover, Zachary (Chelsea) White, Terry White and Lauren White; great-grandmother to six children; one brother Cliff Pitts of Michigan. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Donnie, one son John Franklin White, two brothers, Ronnie Pitts and Donny Pitts and one sister Karen Balentine.
