Barbara L. Cleary

Barbara L. Cleary, 78, of La Salle, passed away October 1, 2022 in Heritage Health in Mendota.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday in Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.  The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting her family.

Mrs. Cleary was born in Wheeling on February 1, 1944 to Raymond and Wilma (Fritz) Devorcek.  She married James Cleary on August 13, 1960.  She cleaned cabins at Camp Kishauwau in Leonore and then worked in Missouri.

Mrs. Cleary enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  She loved her family.

Barbara is survived by her husband James of La Salle; two sons, James Cleary of Ottawa and Donald (Lynette) Cleary of Mendota; five grandchildren, Tanya, Brandin, Al, Douglas and Heather and several step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, Eliza, JazLynn, Jayce and Anders and several step-grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene (Harvey) and Charlene.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson Jimmy Cleary, and one sister.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
