William G. Lipka III

William “Bill” G. Lipka III, 82, of Peru, died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of February 18, 2018 in Manor Court of Peru.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Mr. Lipka was born in La Salle on January 29, 1936 to William and Elizabeth Rose (Keenan) Lipka Jr.
He married Norma Herbert on February 2, 1957.  He worked at Westclox for 27 years and retired from Caterpillar in Mossville in 1994.

Mr. Lipka enjoyed fishing, playing cards with his friends and spending time at his cabin in Shawano, WI. He was a member of the Oglesby Elks.

He is survived by his wife Norma of Peru; two sons, Scott (Rita) Lipka of Peru and William (Cheryl) Lipka IV of Spring Valley; three grandchildren, Keith (Ericka) Lipka of DeForest, WI, Emma Lipka of Mishawaka, IN and Trenton Lipka of Bloomington; one sister Roseann Webb of Peru and one brother Donald (Mary Jo) Lipka of Shawano, WI.
