Vincent R. Moore

Vincent R. Moore, 53, of La Salle, died unexpectedly at home on August 16, 2017 while cutting his grass.

Mass of Christian burial will 10:30 AM Monday in St. Patrick’s Church in La Salle with Rev. Jacob  Valle officiating.  Cremation will follow services and burial of his ashes will be at a later date in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 PM Sunday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with a prayer service at 6:00 PM.  Additional visitation will be in the church on Monday from 9:30 AM until time of services.

Vince was born in La Salle on September 6, 1963 to Barbara Lannon Hrovat.  He served with the Army National Guard as a gunnery sergeant.  Vince was known as a selfless dedicated soldier to the Army.

He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and became an Eagle Scout in 1979.

Vince was an independent contractor in the area.

He is survived by one son David (Jamie) Moore of La Salle; three grandchildren, Ethan, Jarek and Tia; his mother Barbara Hrovat of La Salle; brother Richard (Lisa) Moore of Oglesby; sister Peggy(Kelly) McMillan of Oswego; nieces and nephews, Cassie, Christopher, Hailey, Tyler, John, Joe, Jacob, Nicholas, Ashli, Mike and Ryan. 

He was preceded in death by his father, brother Brian L. Moore and maternal grandparents, Helen Feldhaus and Joseph Lannon.
