R. Jill (Sullivan) Piller

R. “Jill” (Sullivan) Piller, 78, of La Salle, went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2018 surrounded by her family in her home.

Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Sunday in First Baptist Church of Peru, located at 1124 Sycamore St. Peru, with Pastor Doug Karius officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle. Visitation will be 4 to 7:00 PM Saturday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle and additional visitation will be Sunday in the church from 1:00 PM until time of services.

Jill was born in Knoblick, KY on December 5, 1939 to Millard and Mary (Jessie) Gibson. She married James W. Scott in Columbus, IN on November 22, 1956. She then married Richard E. Sullivan in Columbus, IN on March 28, 1964. Jill retired from Sunstrand in 2001. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Jill is survived by four children Deborah (Dan) Myers of Utica, Phillip (Wanda) Scott of Loganville, GA, Kerri (Larry) Borelli of La Salle, and Amy Sullivan of La Salle; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren; one brother Howard (Ruth) Gibson of McAlester, OK; many nieces and nephews; and her dog Sadie Jo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Bill and her twin Jack Gibson.

Pallbearers will be Larry and Ryan Borelli; Dan, Luke, and David Myers; Joel Scott; and Austin Sullivan.
