Mary Lou McNally

Mary Lou McNally, 83, of Peru, died June 16, 2018 in Illinois Valley Community Hospital.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Church in Peru with Rev. Gregory Jarzombek OSB officiating.  Burial will be in Ladd Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7:00 PM Tuesday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle.  Additional visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Mary Lou was born in Spring Valley on July 20, 1934 to Michael and Evelyn (Malcolm) Grivetti Sr. She married Frank Pikula on September 8, 1956 and he died February 16, 1987.  She then married Joseph H. McNally on June 24, 1995.  She retired from St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley in 1994. Mary Lou enjoyed crocheting, especially baby blankets for her family.

Mrs. McNally is survived by her husband Joseph; one daughter  Carol Mancini of Peru and one son Michael (Kathy) Pikula of Oglesby; four grandchildren, Jason Mancini, Melissa (Jeremy) Arbuckle, Katie and Julie Pikula; four great-grandchildren, Angel and Charlie Ortiz, Halyee Mancini and Nino Maurice; one sister, Virginia Joerger of Peru; two brothers, Michael (Jan) Grivetti of Ladd and Peter Grivetti of Missouri; eight step-children, Joe McNally Jr., Rose(Larry)Buckley, John McNally, Suzanne McNalley, Laura (Tracy) Knapp, Dave(Joanne)McNally, Jim McNally, and Michael McNally.
