Marjorie M. Anderson, 84, of Tonica passed away November 27, 2018 at OSF St. Francis in Peoria.
Mass of Christian burial will be 12:30 PM Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Leonore with Rev. Ryan Mattingly officiating. Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church at 10:30 AM until time of services on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM. The Hurst Funeral Home in Tonica is assisting the family with arrangements.
Marjorie was born in Spring Valley August 14, 1934 to Henry and Marie (Miller) Wiesbrock. She graduated from Lostant High School in 1952. She married Evald “Evie” Anderson on August 30, 1952.
Marjorie worked for Kiva Café in McNabb and Leonore Grain & Supply. She enjoyed camping, and she was a member of the Twilight Travelers Club. She and Evie spent many winters in Texas. Marjorie also enjoyed country and bluegrass jams. She played bingo and cards. She liked watching the Chicago Bulls and Cubs. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter Joyce (William) Obermiller of Leonore; two sons Robert (Lynn) Anderson and William (Marsha) Anderson both of Tonica; four grandchildren Shelly (Robert) Chase, Scott Obermiller, Todd (Christy) Anderson, and Adam (Jackie) Anderson; three step-granddaughters Amy, Tracy, and Angela; ten great grandchildren; ten step-great grandchildren; five step-great-great grandchildren; and one sister Kathleen Wallin of Ottawa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Evie on July 11, 2017, brother Ray Wiesbrock, and sister Carol (Bill) Lormis.
Pallbearers will be Robert, William, Todd, and Adam Anderson, Shelly Chase, and Scott Obermiller.
