Lucille A. Dzierzynski, 84, of Spring Valley, Illinois passed at 4:10 PM September 24, 2018 surrounded by her family at home in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday in Faith Church in Peru with Rev. Steve Adamson officiating. Burial will be private on Monday in Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley. Visitation will be 4 to 8:00 PM Saturday in the Hurst Funeral Home in LaSalle. Additional visitation will be in the church on Sunday from 2:00 PM until time of
services. Luncheon will follow services in the church.
Ms. Dzierzynski was born in Mendota on July 18, 1934 to Peter and Leona (Hutt) Funfsinn. She married Anthony Dzierzynski on May 7, 1955. Ms. Dzierzynski and husband owned and operated Valley Electric Company in Spring Valley, before opening the Lawn and Garden Center in LaSalle in 1986. She also worked at the Spring Valley Nursing Home, Peru Mall, The Golden Bear and Westclox. She enjoyed spending time on her family’s land and favorite past time playing bingo. Along with her husband of 60 years, they enjoyed bowling and square dancing together.
Ms. Dzierzynski survived by two daughters, Linda (James) Miller of Prescott Valley, AZ and Sheri Lechner of Spring Valley; two sons, Duane (Michelle) Dzierzynski of Cedar Point and Anton Dzierzynski of Hennepin; grandchildren, Jeremy, Michael, Nathan (with the US Army), Mikali, Caleb, Madelyn, Breann, Blake, Drew (with the US Air Force), McKenzie, Carly, Jordan and Amanda (T-Sgt. with the US Air Force); five great-grandchildren, Devin, Alora, Sloan, Jonas, Traeger; five sisters, Esther, Rita, Alberta, Barbara, Vera; brothers, Cletus and James.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son Daryl, two sisters Theresa and Doris, one brother George.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and granddaughters.
