Lois Ann (Stalker) Noonan

Lois Ann (Stalker)(Morris) Noonan, 80 of Utica, died May 20, 2018 in Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.

Cremation rites have been accorded by the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle. There will be no services.

Lois was born in People’s Hospital in Peru on November 3, 1937 to Eldred I. and Doris Anna Hulda (Lohn) Stalker. She attended La Salle Public Schools and graduated from La Salle-Peru Township High School in 1955.

Lois married Gene Arthur Morris on February 18, 1959. He died on September 14, 1983. She then married James W. Noonan on November 10, 1992. He died September 16, 2016. She was employed by the City of Peru in the City Clerk’s Office. She then was the first female and civilian employee with the Peru Police Department as the secretary for four chiefs. Lois retired from there in 1989.

Lois is survived by three daughters Cheryl Morris of Denver, CO, Linda (Bruce) Skerston of Oglesby, and Bonnie (Brian) Mitchell of New Orleans, LA; one son Gary Morris of Peru; three stepdaughters; three stepsons; twenty-three grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one sister Willa Morgan of Sandwich; and one brother John (Barbara) Stalker of Barnett, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
